 Stephen V. Potter, Sr.
Deputy Executive Director For Program
 

Hon. Stephen V. Potter, Sr. is the Deputy Executive Director for Program at the Rural and Renewable Energy Agency of Liberia (RREA). He is a Renewable Energy Specialist with over 15 years of professional expertise in Renewable Energy Technologies, including Solar Power, Hydro Power, Biomass and Wind Power. Mr. Potter is a 2016 graduate of Master of Science Degree in Renewable Energy Technologies from the Mechanical Engineering Department, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He is a 2015 graduate of Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies, from the Kofi Anna Institute for Conflict Transformation, University of Liberia and a 2001 graduate of Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, from the T. J. R. Faulkner College of Science and Technology, University of Liberia.

 

Mr. Potter has gained extensive knowledge in the energy sector and rural development, and has attained certificates in Hydropower Operations and Maintenance; Solar Photovoltaic Systems Design, Installation and Maintenance; Design and Implementation of Solar Energy Based Livelihood Projects for Rural Communities; Solar Energy Technology & Energy Efficiency; GIS Energy Access Planning and RETScreen Clean Energy Project Analysis; Project Planning and Management; Financial Planning and Budgeting; Human Resource Management; Supervisory Management, etc.

 

Prior to joining the RREA, Mr. Potter worked at senior levels in the employ of the Liberia Refugee Repatriation and Resettlement Commission (2006 – 2010); the U. N. World Food Programme (2003 – 2006; the World Vision International (2002) and the Catholic Relief Services (1990 – 1999).
