CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS
6. Description of the contract
Rural and Renewable Energy Agency (RREA) is a functionary of the Government of Liberia dedicated to facilitating and accelerating the economic transformation of rural Liberia by promoting the commercial development and supply of modern energy services to rural areas with an emphasis on locally available renewable energy sources. The RREA supports rural electrification and provides opportunities for addressing energy access for households, small businesses and public facilities.
With support from the European Union, the RREA is implementing a pilot project called "Sustainable Solar Market Packages (SSMP)", which is aimed at attracting private sector investment and achieve a sustainable development impact. As part of efforts to demonstrate its capacity to undertake the challenge of Liberia's rural electrification, the SSMP project seeks to electrify public facilities as a means of showcasing the economic, social and environmental viability of solar home systems as an efficient and reliable alternative source of energy and a potential investment opportunity.
In this regard this contract calls for the supply of 49.45 kWp of nine (9) Solar PV home systems and nine (9) Solar PV Street light systems in one lot comprising the following 18 systems:
Site 1 - Zorzor Conference Building - 2.3kWp
Site 2 - Zorzor Central High School District Education Officer Office/Library- 5.06kWp
Site 3 - Zorzor Central High School Class Rooms -8.74kWp
Site 4 - Zorzor Administration Building - 3.45kWp
Site 5 - Zorzor Youth Center - 2.76kWp
Site 6 - Zorzor Yeala Immigration Post - 17.0kWp
Site 7 - Zorzor Immigration Post - 3.22kWp
Site 8 - Zorzor Police Station - 3.91kWp
Site 9 - Zozor Women Activity Building - 2.65kWp
